Learning objectives

By completing this eLearning, you will be able to:

Demonstrate how to set up and manage the Phonebar and its settings.
Confidently utilise all communication methods, in-call features, and call history.
Locate, access and manage patient information, including contact history and active patient status.
Confidently navigate the Phonebar interface, including contacts, status, groups, appointments, and stat boxes.

Once you have completed all the lessons and successfully passed the assessment(s), you will receive a certificate that you can print out and include in your Personal Development portfolios.

What Is the Phonebar?

The Phonebar allows surgery staff to control Surgery Connect telephony features from their PCs. It provides single-click calling, video calls, SMS messaging, and photo requests directly from patient records in EMIS Web or SystmOne. Additionally, it automatically displays patient records during incoming calls, streamlining communication for surgeries.

However, the Phonebar isn’t just for surgeries. X-on staff can also leverage its powerful telephony features to streamline internal communication and boost productivity. Control calls, send messages, and access key information directly from your desktop, enhancing collaboration and efficiency.

Course structure

This eLearning course uses progressive lessons to build knowledge. Lessons may include supporting images, interactive demos, or videos. Lessons can be taken in any order and paused/resumed at any time.

Assessment and certification

This self-paced course has no deadline. Some courses include a final test with a required pass mark for certification. Upon passing, learners receive a downloadable certificate for personal development portfolios.
